So now that everyone here knows my Nude obsession.. why not add a little edge to your look? Back to the leather leggings with this post to add some rock'n'roll for a day or two. Trying out new styles can build confidence and inspire you to try even more trends. Don't be afraid to break out of your shell when it comes to certain pieces!

TEAL

Teal is more than hot during the summer months, but now its in the fall/winter mix as well! (Thank you Fashion Gods!) Along with some bright chunky necklaces and aqua toes...you know I melted over the denim!

These Paige Premium Denim jeans can also be found at Forever 21 for a steal of about $15! Don't be that last one on campus to wear your colored denim!

Furry Inspiration

Working at Nordstrom over this break from school has brought about much inspiration each day! First off, it has gotten me excited to wear my new leather leggings (which of course I purchased at Nordstrom)! I noticed many customers already rocking their (hopefully faux) fur, and I can't help but want to mix it all together!

Self Expression

Self Expression. We thrive on it. It is what we are put on this earth to do.

I remember receiving my first issue of NYLON magazine, thinking "wow, was this created just for me?!" The way NYLON coinsides music and fashion together has been a revolution for our world.

A few other Fusic (Fashion and Music) keys have been demonstrated by MTV,  Urban Outfitters, and about one million independent blogs. Fashion week obviously holds numerous concerts, appearances, and of course runway shows with music elements and embracement. Expressing fashion through music is something many people do without even noticing. The beauty of it, is that it just comes naturally.

It needs to be more stressed that individuality and self expression are necessities in finding yourself and creating happiness in ones life. Respect others ideas and passions. Spread the word and express yourself!

Nudity

Neutrals have been taken to a whole other level within the past year. Nudes have taken over as the new 'black' and I, for one, couldn't be more pleased. Leaving a crisp, sophisticated feel to your everyday look is more than a pick-me-up, its a necessity. 

Don't know what to pair with something? Make it a nude.

Even nude cosmetics are worth embracing, I particularly love these because they leave a tan look to your skin.

Tracy Reese

Tracy Reese, an American designer who graduated from Parsons School of Design, has becoming booming in the last few years. Upon working in the Designer sector at Nordstrom, I had no idea who this designer was (now I'm embarrassed to admit!). Tracy designs beautiful pieces, that flatter almost any figure and of course hold superior quality. This role model also has a secondary line, Plenty by Tracy Reese,which can be found at South Moon Under. Plenty also has a children's line and a footwear line...endless possibilities ahead for this young woman! 

Today I encountered a pleasant surprise while online-shopping away at Nordstrom.com . Tracy Reese teamed up with Clinque for a free gift!! 

Unlike most of these free gifts, you only need to spend $25 on Clinque products at Nordstrom to receive a beautiful cosmetic bag and coin pouch. But that's not all...(drum roll please).....

H&M

H&M is scheduled to launch yet ANOTHER amazing line this season in December..."Dragon Tattoo".

What a huge year for H&M! This Swedish company is coming to utilize their price point much better these days, previously with Vera Wang, then Versace, now they have a whole new line based on the much loved book-turned-film "Girl With The Dragon Tattoo". The company actually teamed up with the costume designer from the movie to create these new looks. Very edgy..with maybe a touch of vampire if you ask me!

This line will hit stores exactly one week before the film comes out on December 21st.

I thought H&M was smart when they teamed up with Versace, but now double teaming it!? You go girl.

Missioni for Target...Versace for H&M...whats next? I can't wait to find out!

BASICS

Sometimes, basics can speak the loudest.

Some call it color blocking, but I just call them basics. Jeans and a white tee, an oxford and skinnys, neutrals, blazer and a teeshirt, white on white...flawless! 

Don't let them hide in the back of your closet...Embrace your basics! Put together two (or three!) that you'd never think to pair, you will be pleasantly surprised!
